Young Boy Mows Lawns All Summer To Buy A Gravestone For The Father He Never Met

Eleven year old Brandon Bakke spent this summer mowing lawns for his neighbors and strangers and he was doing it for a cause – to buy a gravestone for a man he never met.

Just when Brandon who was adopted when he was a baby started showing interest in his biological family he learned that his father passed away recently and was buried in an unmarked grave. He died before he got a chance to see what an amazing boy he had, but that didn’t mean Brandon couldn’t do something for him. He got in touch with artists and designers at Dakota Monument and together they came up with the perfect marker to honor the man.
