We rarely see an elementary school race reach the headlines but what happened in this school moved me more than ever. After watching this, an hour on a treadmill won’t be such a big deal.

It was a race day at this Ohio elementary and it was the day an 11 year old taught us the meaning of persistence and determination. Right from the start Matt Woodrum who has a cerebral palsy was told it was ok for him to sit out the race, but Matt had other plans. He pushed through when everyone thought he couldn’t make it any further and the reaction of his classmates when he finished the race left me speechless.
