I Didn’t Realize a 3D Animation Could Make Me Cry. But Here I Am, Tears And All…

This may come as a surprise but Disney and Pixar aren’t the only animation studios capable of producing emotional and heartwarming shorts. This ingenious little work of art is a product of a small Malaysian indie studio and while it lacks the fluidity and technique of Frozen or Nemo, it sets the bar in terms of emotional engagement. I guarantee you won’t be able to finish this with dry eyes.

Ironically the star of this movie is a robot, a character usually associated with lack of emotions. Maybe that’s why it manages to achieve what many of high budget studios fail to do. Enjoy “Changing Batteries”.
