He Melts Leftover Crayons From Restaurants, But Wait Till You See What He Does With Them…

This dad’s kitchen is probably the messiest one you’ve seen in a while but I don’t think anyone who lives there minds bright green, orange or red stains on the countertops because what he does is a work of love.

Brian Ware came up with the idea when he found out that family restaurants throw away hundreds of crayons every day so he started what he calls Crayon Initiative. Each day he collects thousands of discarded crayons and recycles them into brand new ones. What has begun as a small operation has since grown to hundreds of volunteers and donations from all over the country. One thing has remained the same though – the smile on the sick kids’ faces who get to color the pain away with Brian’s crayons.
