These Ducks Were Held In Captivity Their Whole Life. When They See Water For The First Time? Oh, My Goodness!

There’s not a lot of cases of ducks being abused but the rescue workers of Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary found this little flock at a hoarder’s house, locked in their little pens since they were hatched. Sadly, these ducks have never seen water before.

After they were treated for malnourishment and given a clean bill of health, it was time to integrate them with the resident flock and teach them how to do what ducks do – swim. At first, they were a bit scared of that big scary lake but once their instincts kicked in, there was no stopping them. This made me so happy.
