Ecstatic Crowd Greets Team Before Game, But When You See Who’s On Court? You’ll Be Blown Away
Gainesville Tornadoes is one of the rare basketball teams that play their games without a cheering crowd. The reason is that it’s a Gainesville juvenile correction facility team and one of the perks for good behavior is getting to leave the prison a few times a year and play the “away” games.
Usually, one doesn’t expect a lot of supporters on the away game, especially not the Tornadoes, but the game against Vanguard College Prep in Waco was going to be different. By the time the game ended the entire crowd was cheering for them and it all started with a heart-warming request by few of the Vanguard players.
