For decades the mind-boggling illustrations of M.C. Escher captured imagination of artists and scientists alike. His optical illusions, stairs that go in circle, a hand that draws itself and countless other art pieces show what a unique imagination he had.

I thought that’s all that is though, his imagination, but a few years ago a YouTube video went online showing that apparently somewhere in the campus of Rochester Institute of Technology there’s an Escherian stairwell built, one where you can go up forever and always end up in the same spot. Is it even possible?
