We’ve All Seen Planes Take Off Before, But Have You Ever Seen One Take Off Like THIS?
Wow, how is this even possible? This video looks as if the jet is defying laws of physics.
I know that fighter jets are capable of some extraordinary maneuvers but this is ridiculous. The visitors of this air show had a chance to witness something so rare only a handful of pilots can do it – a vertical 90 degree take off. At this velocity, a maneuver like this turns this MIG-29 into a rocket, as it relies solely on its afterburners to gain altitude. You got to be crazy good or just plain crazy to even attempt something like this. It looks spectacular though.
