Up until he applied for American Idol, Trent Harmon’s biggest audience was about 3000… cows, that is. This farmer boy and a family restaurant waiter came on stage with his southern accent and his guitar and the jury expected just another country song but then he began singing and all of them just had to watch with their mouths open.

Performing “Unaware” by soul artist Allan Stone in his own personal style, he had Jennifer Lopez stare in disbelief and Harry Connick Jr called it his favorite audition ever. I predict audiences much larger than 3000 for this kid.
