Domestic violence can happen to anyone, man or women, rich or poor, educated or not. You’d never thought that it would happen to Leslie Morgan Steiner, an ambitious Harvard graduate, who worked for Fortune 500 companies and who seemingly lived the American dream. The truth is that when she was at home, her “soul mate” would often point a gun to her head and threaten to kill her.

In her touching lecture at TED, Steiner addressed many issues about domestic violence, she answers questions people are afraid to ask but that are on everybody’s mind. It is an eye opener even for people who never had to deal with this, but especially for those who experience abuse every single day. People need to see this.
